2010 Staff Update

Apex Soccer is excited to announce the addition of two new members to the Apex coaching staff in Ziggy Zigante and Gretchen Zigante.
After playing professionally in some of the top leagues all over the world, Ziggy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. His wife, Gretchen, is also a seasoned coach in her own right, and will handle the operational side of Apex Soccer.
These additions unfortunately come in the wake of losing two members of the current coaching staff in Anatoliy Dmitriakov and Ilia Toumadjanov, who are currently pursuing opportunities in their local clubs. Both coaches made a tremendous impact on Apex Soccer, and Apex is thankful for their contribution and will continue in the professional-level training that they brought to the table.
Nenad "Ziggy" Zigante will now serve as the head of the coaching staff. His career blossomed while playing goalkeeper for Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia. At the time, the team was part of the Yugoslav First League, widely recognized as one of the top five leagues in all the world in it's day.
He also played for Dinamo Zagreb's futsal team, and looks to bring that same professional level of play to the Apex Futsal Academy. Players in the academy will benefit tremendously from Ziggy's thorough understanding of the game of futsal, as they learn how play the game, "see" the game, and "read" the game. Under his tutelage, players will start to understand the game in a way they likely never have, and in turn, this will translate to a higher level of play in the outdoor game.
