Garner Flames to train at SportHQ

Last week, SportHQ reached an agreement with the Garner Flames on a program that would allow the AAU women’s basketball team to train in our facility and work out with HQ Performance. The girls will raise the money to pay for the program themselves using our proven fundraising platform.

The program will allow the teams to practice with their coaches in our facility and undergo strenuous performance training with our Head Performance Specialist, Geoff Christman, and former N.C. State Basketball Player, Hanna Halteman.

Enrollment in the Goalkeeper Training is selective for the goalkeepers most committed to their personal development and performance. Training consistently over the course of a season with a professional coach and mentor is the proven way to achieve the best developmental results and to achieve advancement to the elite and professional levels. The Goalkeeper School year-round and is flexible around your school, club, social and family schedules. You can work with our professional trainers individually or within a small group setting. The program features outdoor grass and turf surfaces, a specialized goalkeeper training sandbox, indoor turf spaces. Those signing up for the Season Long (12 Session) Packages will also receive equipment and priority scheduling!

Futsal Academy

Apex Soccer is pleased to again provide our Futsal Academy as a keystone program of our player development philosophy.

Futsal began it’s popularity in South America , and has been credited for the development of so many professional players. There are very few professional players today who have not had extensive futsal training and playing regimens in their young careers. In fact, testimonials of the world’s best players all include mention of futsal training at the younger ages and beyond.

Why is futsal training unique and effective? Futsal, played with a weighted, smaller ball on a smooth surface with scaled goals and without the aid of walls, provides greater technical and tactical challenges, resulting in greater and more rapid skill development than regular soccer training.

Futsal training and play dramatically improve a player’s skill sets; first touch, textured passing skills, shooting skills, vision, movement off the ball, goal-scoring acumen, and split-second decision making.

Our Futsal Academy is a nine-month developmentally focused unique elite program for Ages 7-12. The goal is to prepare and promote young players for a future elite or professional soccer career. The Academy program runs from September to May with weekly 1.5 hour professional futsal training, comprehensive player evaluations and video analysis.

The Academy program is coached by professional coaches who have all played and coached internationally, as well as in the United States. Admission to this elite training program is through informal tryout sessions.

I know that it’s certainly possible to do this with external stylesheets, but anyone who knows how to do that doesn’t need this help in the first place. I’m just trying to make something that’s normally hard for people a little easier. I’m not going to get into an argument with any code purists over this, so don’t bother.
